MOCA System and ASSA ABLOY KOREA partner to create a seamless one-pass experience.

MOCA System, led by CEO Andrew Kim, and ASSA ABLOY Korea, under CEO Shin Hyun-Wook, have signed a groundbreaking MOU to transform and digitize the digital door lock experience using mobile technology.

ASSA ABLOY Korea, a subsidiary of the global ASSA ABLOY Group—which has been recognized by Forbes as one of the 100 Most Innovative Companies for four consecutive years—operates in over 70 countries. Their product range includes cutting-edge digital door locks and access control solutions.

This partnership aims to integrate ASSA ABLOY’s globally recognized standards in cloud and mobile-based access control (ACaaS) with their premium digital door locks and locker solutions. The goal is to create a seamless “one-pass” experience, allowing users to access both main entrances and private spaces within offices or residential buildings through a single mobile authentication.

The companies have already successfully validated the technology to control digital door locks for both private entrances and glass doors via smartphones. Moving forward, they plan to integrate MOCA System’s mobile access control solution, Airfob, with ASSA ABLOY’s diverse range of door locks and locker systems. This integration will cater to office buildings, residential complexes, coworking spaces, and coliving environments.

“We are excited to drive access control innovation with a global leader like ASSA ABLOY,” said Andrew Kim, CEO of MOCA System. “Our focus is on delivering an unparalleled mobile access experience, not only for offices but also for residential buildings.”

Hyun-Wook Shin, CEO of ASSA ABLOY Korea, added, “We are eager to collaborate with MOCA System, an innovator in mobile access control. Combining our robust lineup of access solutions with mobile technology will bring significant added value to the market.”

MOCA System, through its cloud and mobile-based access control solutions, is redefining the access experience for space operators and users. Their Airfob solution is designed for commercial real estate buildings, including coworking spaces and corporate headquarters, offering integrated access control for employees, visitors, and various common areas and amenities.
